Trainee IT Support Technician (Apprenticeship)
Status: Position open until 31st March 2010
Description: IT Support Trainee required to monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of organisations. They may install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical and application problems, either over the phone, via remote connection or in person. Depending on the size of the organisation, a support trainee's role may span one or more areas of expertise. As part of a small team, all staff are required to take on general office responsibilities such as answering the phone and dealing with customer enquiries.
Requirements: Confident outgoing individual, able to converse with customers. Must be able to work as part of a team but also individually. Should be able to travel to our Tilbury office and ideally hold a full UK driving licence.
Training: Apprentices will work towards achieving a Diploma in ICT Professional Competence at Level 2 or 3 alongside a Technical Certificate. Level to be decided based on prior attainment. Key Skills training and certification available where required.
